Restoring traditional structures to integrate with contemporary life.

This restoration project in Thalassery, Kerala, preserves traditional carpentry and timber framing methods while carefully introducing modern spaces. Our focus was documenting the structural junctions, tiled roofs, and woodcarvings.

The documentation process captures the material honesty of seasoned teak wood, laterite base columns, and the play of soft skylights on restored lime plaster walls.
